The acronym JND stands for "Just Noticeable Difference". It is a concept in psychology that refers to the smallest detectable difference between two stimuli, or the minimum change in stimulation that a person can detect. This concept is crucial in understanding perception thresholds in various sensory modalities.
It is sometimes used as a standing word to describe the threshold below which an object is not visible to the observer.
