A Home of Dreams
The windowpane
A reddish glow
Of the embers
Dying low
-
Our little house
In snowy frame
The cold and peaceful
Evening tame
-
That summer had
In married way
The year now turns
Our first holiday
-
Gone our guests
To depart
Us two alone
Yet beats one heart
-
Our bodies lit
By firelight
In your arms
You held me tight
-
Across your eyes
A fleeting glance
As on the walls
Our shadows danced
-
A family there
Soon could be
So under mistletoe
We made three
-
A future built
Before our eyes
As clear as
That winter sky
-
Filled with love
To busting seams
We’ll make this house
A home of dreams
