A Hole in the Sun
There’s a hole in the Sun tonight.
A real one.
Not science fiction, not a joke.
They call it a coronal hole,
but it’s no little crack.
This one’s huge.
Spanning miles across the Sun’s surface,
like something’s ripped through it.
It sends solar wind blasting out,
straight toward Earth.
That wind can spark up the sky.
Auroras.
Northern lights dancing where they shouldn’t.
Maybe even seen down in places
that don’t normally get the show.
They say it could mess with satellites,
radio signals,
all the tech we think we control.
But nature doesn’t ask.
She sends her storms,
quiet and wild.
So if your phone flickers,
or your night lights up green,
don’t panic.
It’s just the Sun
reminding us who’s boss.
