Cold gray skies,
days of seemingly endless rain.
Just a hint of blue please, if only for a moment.
Something to lift my spirits, something to calm my soul.
Were I to walk in the rain.
Would it’s cold stinging hits, bite on my skin?
Dissolving me into a puddle. To lay there lifeless.
Mayhaps it would nourish me, washing away the grime of boredom and idleness.
Just a few degrees colder please and it would be snow, covering the land and the sleeping trees with a cold, comforting embrace.
Then I could walk in this landscape, leaving compressed images of my passing. This too would lift my spirits.
Anything but this gray, cold, lifeless day.
