A Heart Protected
a poem from words of encouragement

Perhaps there has been a rhyme to this reason … a point to this nothing
In the pit of loneliness and longing it can be hard to see, hard to accept
That being alone all this time, being ‘unloved’ and ‘never chosen’
Left in the sea alone …
This was the world protecting you, protecting a heart of purity
Ensuring it would not be tarnished, bruised, or damaged by the wrong 'one'
Keeping you secure in the isolated tower of your imagining until that time
Until someone deserving comes along …
On that day it will be clear to you and all around, these two are indeed one
Your heart will be whole, undamaged by the cruel hand of false love
You will know them, and they will know you … their heart will be yours
And a life spent happily opening your heart wider …
For them only and ever

It will be such a great love. Gosh.
🥹🤍🙏🏻 I love this Savannah
Very spot on. I can tell it’s coming from the heart, it is like a lesson learnt and you gifted it to us.
