Plant the seeds now, in the actions we take

In laughter and love, joy and regret

Seeds of the memories that we will make

Parts of our lives that we'd grieve to forget.

Nurture and grow the first leaves that sprout

Fragile stems that reach for the sky

Water with fondness, weed out the doubt

Nourish the stems that grow tall and high.

Gather the sheafs of memory tightly,

Moments and joys we are eager to keep

Cast off the chaff of sorrows unneeded

Pain and dismay that cause us to weep

Harvest the memories kept deep in our hearts

Memories that made us the people we are

Stored against need, against turmoil and hurts

Memory guides us, like some distant star
