A Global Warning

Where there’s a will there may be a way, out

Eventually, there may only be one ocean.

Clouds may burst, full of scalding rain that cannot cool our tongues and the

Land may shrink until we’re all balancing on our tip-toes.

Inside we may peer out behind glass, city indistinct from forest, and

People may curse the preceding generation, down to the last plastic straw.

Skies may darken under fiery fumes, blocking out our sun. Yet

Even now, it may not be too late for us, if only they would listen.

Land may shrink until we’re all balancing on our tip-toes - that's my favourite bit. What an image 😁

Powerful work. I loved how vivid and descriptive your language was throughout the poem!

I think that climate change and pollution are no longer the main problems facing this planet, as some form of AI will bring more catastrophic changes, which may be good for Earth but probably not for us. A poignant eclipse!
