A Girl Named Pearl, and All Her Colors..

Can You Paint with all the Shades of Me?

By Rita Montgomery (Pearl M.)Published 5 years ago 1 min read

"Gray, White, and Baby Blue hues with Freckles of Hazel In My Eyes, filled with a Hunger for Love, and adventure; shifting their colors like the ever changing seasons.

These Rosy Red lips are stained with soft, hot kisses where passion leaves its craving tender touch; Over and Over again, like brush strokes on a Canvas dipped in oils made from flowers.

White, and Olive Tanned skin tones that turn a blushing pink at the caress of fingers tracing the curves of my body; Up and Down, like Turquoise waves in an Ocean crashing into a Golden, sandy shore.

Blonde, Black, Red, and Brown, the shades of my hair changing through the passing years as I fight with the uncomfortable image staring back from my reflection.

Ivory, And Cream dripping from my breasts in the Milk that feeds the life I created and birthed; like raindrops feeding the earth, the growth of both requires much in the same.

Purple, Yellow, Blue, and Black, the shifting colors of a bruise made from the grip of a Lover whose lies were soaked in a fiery Ash; Tears drowning out the burn of Orange, and Crimson flames.

Sapphire Dresses in a Tuscan Sun; Blood Red Wine stained on Pale hands picking up the pieces of a shattered heart gone cold. One, by One, By One.

Lavender Bows in Platinum braids, Bold Magenta letters mapping a stage where my Ballet slippers traced its path like a Mozart symphony. Glissade, and Pirouette.

Obsidian Shadows playing tricks with Moonlight from my window; A flutter here, and a flutter there, like wings of Angels and Demons in a battle of my restless, Mosaic mind.

Indigo Skies, and Denim Jeans; Rose Colored Glasses, and Iced Sun Tea. Sip, and Dream, Sip, and Dream. Breathe it in and “let it be”.

All of these colors are part of me; A girl drunk on love, and a Soul set free."
