When I think of you I find comfort in the warmth of my rage—
and joy too
It is the reason I have peace Why I enjoy the quite and dark days
Even amidst the might of a storm The storm remains the lesser thing
And though enduring this rage has left me broken, there will be a day when this brokenness finds you
And I pray it finds you well
The Response His Perspective (Part 2)
When I first saw you Your eyes reflected an innocence Only gardens like Eden could bear.
But I was unworthy—
and touching you turned the light to a darkness that overwhelmed the soul.
Should forgiveness be lost to me, if grief and memory stalk the life of me?
Could this be the end— the place where a buried soul seeks to exist in light again?
