A Friend, Turned Foe V

Desire, you continue to torment me… Why? There is but one -dangerous- wish you will not grant. So, until you will, you can stay far, far away from me.

Desire‐

get away from me‐

unless you have come for my life,

keep your face far away from mine

it's not everyday that I need to see my tallest enemy,

so unless you are here to take me‐

as you have already taken everything else

you can stay far from me‐

as I myself, will keep from you

Desire‐

please stay away‐

keep your steps from me high in number

my ears should not hear your wretched voice,

your taunting remarks,

and your siren song‐

don't show me your mocking grin,

as you are nothing I wish to see

unless you've come to bring me to my end‐

with Mr. Grim himself by your side

Desire‐

please, just stay away from me‐

About the Creator

Josh Morgan

Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
