My dear daughter, it's hard to believe

That time has flown by so quickly

It feels like just yesterday, you were a babe

In my arms, so small and so meekly

Now here you are, ready to leave

And embark on your journey of life

Off to college, to learn and achieve

And face challenges, both joyous and strife

But know that no matter where you go

Or what you choose to do

My love for you will always grow

As you blossom and become anew
