The wind whispers a song of farewell,

To something once rare, now lost.

A memory now locked in its cell,

A beauty, once bright, now frost.

*

A creature so bright, with feathers of gold,

Whose chirp filled the air with delight.

But now it has gone, so suddenly cold,

Leaving behind an emptiness in sight.

*

A flower so rare, with petals so fine,

Whose fragrance once filled the air.

But now it has withered and lost its shine,

Leaving a fragrance no longer there.

*

It's a loss that cuts deeper than knife,

When something once rare, disappears.

For what once brought joy in our life,

Now only brings sadness and tears.

*

So let us remember its beauty and grace,

And cherish the memories we hold.

For though it may be gone without a trace,

Its legacy still lives, bold.

*

For in our hearts, it will always reside,

A reminder of something once rare.

A memory that we'll never hide,

A treasure, forever ensnared.
