The last sunset fades away,

Taking with it a rare beauty.

A color, a warmth, a ray,

That's never to return, it's a duty.

*

A sight once seen, but now gone,

A memory to last a lifetime.

Its beauty shines, forever on,

In the mind and the heart, it's a rhyme.

*

The sky a canvas, painted red,

The clouds, a brush, its strokes.

A masterpiece, forever in our head,

A sadness, too beautiful to evoke.

*

So let us cherish this last embrace,

A goodbye to a rare, fading grace.

And though it's gone, it will always place,

A smile, in our hearts, a warm trace.
