A Drunk Girl's Confession

#1

By Maria.Published 3 years ago 1 min read

I can hear the longing,

from my heart who is shouting,

but I keep on drinking,

Maybe in this way I can stop this feeling.

It may be cold but can slightly burn,

Maybe in this way my world may turn,

A little taste of bitterness,

To wake me up from this madness.

A cure for a broken me,

Well it can be done easily,

But sad to say it won’t stay permanently,

Like others, it will also fade rapidly.

A drink serves chill, a little bitter,

All inside this fragile container,

They said it can warm you up,

Perhaps it is effective for the cold heart I have.

From this pain I want to move further,

With this liquid that taste so bitter,

Yeah, we’re compatible because you made me bitter and weak,

With this drink I hope I can put this feeling into eternal sleep.

As I drink bottoms up,

I wish to gain my genuine laugh,

As I swallow it down,

I hope this pain will also get drowned.

As I put back the glass,

I hope this will be gone in a blast,

But sad to say it won’t go off so easy,

Not even with gin, tequila, or whiskey.

Still I’ll laugh and cry,

Reminisce the time that passed by,

And again I’ll take a shot and try,

At least I can be happy in a short period of time.

So I’ll drink this alcohol,

Until I can feel the pain no more,

Until it won’t knock in front of my door,

Maybe it is a consequence of me who easily falls.

Even I’ll wake up with head that feels like tearing apart,

As well as the pain inside my heart,

I’ll still use this remedy,

That will cure the pain temporarily.

I know it will come back sooner,

So, I’ll just have this something bitter,

Just give me a bottle,

And once again it will temporarily settle.
