In the dark, dark forest

Near the pine needle ground

There was a vine winding

Round and round and round

On the vine were leaves

Stretched and cupped

To catch a drop of water

In the dark, dark forest

From the sky above

With the sun so bright

Pierced the dark, dark forest

with a ray of light

Through the dark, dark trees

That ray of light did pierce

To touch that leaf

With that drop of water

To give a sparkle here.
