A Dinosaur's Lament

In ancient times, when giants walked the earth, Sauropods sauntered, their footprints heard far and wide.

They formerly wandered close to old woodlands, their necks extended to skim the sky.

The earth trembled beneath their weight,

A musical composition representing the deepest mysteries in the universe.

Their recollection, however, is fading, a transient elegance, in the midst of today's hectic speed.

In the middle of the never-ending hum of traffic, Stegosaurus moans, lonely.

"Where have all the grasslands and freeways gone?

Where can we even begin to navigate this labyrinth?"

Pterodactyls long for the limitless skies of their prehistoric ancestors as they watch jets fly past.

"Human craft mimic our flight's quest, But where's the freedom, the boundless zest?"

The mighty Tyrannosaurus rex, Now just a whisper in the halls of the museum.

"Where is the excitement of the hunt, the pure joy?"

As I become older, I feel, yet I still.

We cherish the history of dinosaurs, from bygone eras to contemporary folklore.

Forever soaring in stories and imaginations,

With certainty, they occupy thoughts and emotions.
