A Day in the Life

What fresh chaos awaits when / one alights downstairs?

By Meredith HarmonPublished 2 years ago 1 min read
Doggie destruction / In blurry photograph is / unmistakable.

No! No! Stop! Bad dog!

Laundry is NOT a chew toy!

Drop it! Drop it now!

*****

You did it again!

What happened to my new socks?

Unbelievable!

*****

Sooo, should I ask you

What happened to the rolls of

Good toilet paper?

*****

Floor confetti... Great.

Where are my insurance forms?

Quite the party, huh?

*****

Wet, sloppy paw prints

In gloppy mud across my

Fresh-mopped kitchen floor.

*****

Chaos incarnate!

Never a dull moment, eh?

But, that's puppy life.

And is your puppy still so oblivious to your moods that they're remain standing there so proud of themselves & pleased as pink, or have they gotten to know you well enough to hang their head & slink away?

  • Lol, I'm sure many of us would find this relatable! Awesome poem!
