A Colorful Beginning

A Color Filled Life

By Donna Crane-EdwardsPublished 5 years ago 1 min read
Something Colorful

I came into the world as peaches and cream. My skin began to turn brown from the sunlights full beam. Once small and cute full of rainbows and dreams. Time started bringing colors of rage, hatred and envy. My clear tears ran down my bruised checks of purple and blue that looked like eye shadow against my brown hue. The brightness of days turned to the darkest of nights. My skin worked against me in this world of delight. I rather be green because people loved money. Yet my beautiful brown skin always reminded me of honey. I grew older and wiser and accepting my fate. My color was a gift and I was ready to debate. Realizing all colors are made to be cherished and adored. As long as you can see colors, you could never be ignored!
