A bottomless Pit For My Heart
You killed my love. You killed my heart. You killed me.

A bottomless Pit For My Heart
I dropped my heart into a bottomless pit,
watched it tumble, weightless, dimly lit.
No echo followed, no final thud,
just silence swallowing pulse and blood.
Did it shatter, or does it still fall,
drifting deeper past memory’s call?
I reach, but nothing meets my hands,
no path, no end, no place to land.
Maybe it floats where lost things dwell,
adrift in hush, too deep to tell.
Or maybe it lingers, a phantom beat,
somewhere far beneath my feet.
But as I die, let it be known—
you left me with a broken heart,
that hurt so much it had to be thrown.

Wonderful poem!
Great poetry!❤️
Out of the midst of despair this is one way to survive a broken heart and wonder if love is for real. Good job.
