The mind sees what the eyes refuse to see
The road to hell is paved with well behaved slaves
Constructing staves to save my mind
From the unreality of this time
All whining and chiming in
On what should be
Yet, the reality is
None of them are where or what they wanted to be
Forced to choose the reality
Of an acceptable life
Most often dying to the idea of striving for more
Dreams torn from our minds
Dithering until we’re nothing more
