Five senses we possess,

To perceive the world around,

Each one a gift to express,

What in our minds is found.

Sight brings colors to our eyes,

And shapes that we admire,

The beauty of a sunrise,

Or a starry night's entire.

The scent of flowers in the air,

Can take us to another place,

Bringing memories everywhere,

With a fragrant, sweet embrace.

Sounds fill our ears with joy,

Or even fear and pain,

A symphony can deploy,

A spectrum of emotion's gain.

Taste is a wonderful sensation,

That brings us pleasure and delight,

A flavor that can be a creation,

To make our taste buds ignite.

Touch is the sense that connects,

Us with the world we know,

A gentle hug that reflects,

Love and warmth that show.

Five senses, each unique,

A blessing to us all,

A universe they seek,

A tapestry to recall.
