a poem

By Aaron MorrisonPublished about a year ago 1 min read

I thought I was prepared

For when the sky cracked open

And the waters of the Great Deep rose

But what I’m lacking in resilience

I make up for in inadequacy

So I offer up my prayer

Throat hoarse and voice raspy

As the rains keep battering and raging

It’s well past forty days

And I’d like to send the raven and the doves
