An Acrostic Septet
By Jennifer A. G.Published 2 years ago • Updated 2 years ago • 1 min read

Every year— or year and one half— the same:
celestial superseding of yin and yang,
light-dark, solar-lunar, water-flame.
In twilit noons, do you feel the same pang
profess its presence? A shot wolf with fraught fangs.
Some year at midday, when the moon eats the sun,
each of us, gazing skyward, will wonder: Who won?

Going around trying to learn about acrostic poetry. Beautiful acrostic poem. Nicely Done!!
This was a lovely and poignant read Jennifer, and I particularly liked “light-dark, solar-lunar, water-flame.”. Your poem says a lot in so few words! Nicely done🤗
Congratulations! (on your win...not the demise of your marriage...sorry)
Brilliantly written.
Really well written and thought-provoking, Jennifer!
This was so poignantly beautiful! Loved your Acrostic!
Great take on the challenge.
Magnificent and loved the closing with a question!!!
That last line is perfection 🙌
