21st birthday
A year ago today
I did what I could to make you feel special.
It's the day you came into existence on this earth.
Shouldn't that be a celebration no matter what?
The old me might have ran
through all the ins and outs.
Trying to figure out
Who was next to you in the picture.
Your mom posted the photo.
You looked happy
I felt at peace
We dont talk anymore
But seeing you happy
will always
Bring me joy.
Not being cunning or coy
I always wanted to see you win.
