Locked in, locked out
Locked down
So long of going nowhere
We've heard it all before!
Coughs and sneezes spread diseases,
cover this, cover that
stay at home and save lives
Act like you have it!
A year later - we are still shut away
Slowly the doors will open
Now we have toilet roll,
do we have our lives?
See with a microscope,
Feel all around
It's not over yet!
yet, slowly we take the steps
Schools and shops,
Funerals and weddings
Slowly, they fill once more!
Has it touched you?
People are ill,
People can Die!
And - Strangers we have all become...
Birthdays and Christmas
Past by the locked door
Sir Tom walked for miles
...... to help strangers!
Missing the café,
missing my friends,
missing my family,
missed our birthdays
But - Not missing a life!
They had it - Stayed at home
In bed - With medicine
Aching and ill with no motivation
But - Improvement did come!
And lives were not taken!!
Covid it's called,
Coronavirus to some
creeps around
killing a few
The Boris - he shouts
But - not many listen -
the vaccines here now
LET ME OUT OF MY PRISON!
