My dearest one, what's this we've found? Behold!

An entrance to the earth- and then who knows?

No summer heat could pass through this threshold,

Wade into milky air where'er it goes.

Called by the limestone walls to run and leap,

You sprint ahead traversing this dark maze.

What could await us- Moses and his sheep!

Above- a beam! The sun or bush ablaze?

We surface in the month of May's warm wake,

She left for us this fortress green and pure.

Amongst the stone and grass my lamb can make

A refuge with this shepherdess secure.

A plaque reads "Park of the Laments", but why?

For life surrounds us here 'neath joyous sky!
