10 Haikus
Haikus to encourage mindfulness in nature

Let me share some of my haikus.
1.
A mere seaweed,
But to my philocalist brain,
An abstract art.
2.
The chaparral spring —
Canyons filled with mustard blooms,
Feast for the heart.
3.
A lone sailboat,
In the bosom of vast oceans,
Courage is necessary.
4.
Leave footprints,
In the sands of time,
Not your filth.
5.
Fragrant lilies,
Gracing the muddy pond,
Symbol of serenity.
6.
The apricot tree,
Long charred in wildfire,
Once looked like this.
7.
Conifer on cliffs,
Without saying, they announce —
Resilience, and adaptation.
8.
Acorns in oak holes,
Drilled, stuffed, saved by woodpeckers—
For lean days ahead.
9.
Soft mushrooms,
Poking from gum tree trunks —
Small but fatal.
10.
Beauty everywhere,
For those who pay attention,
Even on sidewalks.
I believe, you enjoyed reading these bite-sized poems with lovely pictures to go with them. Tell me which one you like the most!

These Haikus were all so amazing and beautiful! My favourite is number 9. I also learned a new word from you, philocalist!
