Grinned through every scene,

my soul the UNPAID extra—

credits roll in hush.

About the Creator

Komal

I write poems and stories that hit the feels.

When I’m not lost in my own plots, I’m either daydreaming about the next big idea or just winging life with a grin.

Poor extras never get the credit they deserve.

This is damn good. I don't think her name is going to be in those credits.

The economy of words here is striking; you capture a whole cinematic experience in just a few lines. The metaphor of being an “UNPAID extra” resonates deeply.

  • Oh, I know the feeling, Komal!! A brilliant Senryu!!

"unpaid extra" I love this phrase! No one should ever feel like they are unpaid extras in the story of someone else, and yet so many of us do. Time to take the lead role and roll those credits in for ourselves!

This is moving. It feels as if we are unrecognized at times.

I feel the gut punch as the credits roll past the grinning wreckage in the background. Sooo relatable and heartfelt ❤️

This is really sad. Makes me think of feeling like an actor in one’s own life.

How many time do we feel like that person, cast in a place with know one seeing you, wondering if I left would any one notice.
