Spring had finally sprung after a long and cold winter. As the cherry blossom trees started to bloom the anticipation of spring is heightened. Spring, as with each season, not only brings a sense of renewal, it also brings such purity, freshness and beauty.
Witnessing each stage of natures evolution through the seasons has a captivating essence, it always gives you that thing, the thing to always look forward to. In life we are meant to look ahead, to what’s coming next and getting to experience the sheer brilliance of nature in its raw perfection reminds us that growth, around us and within us is inevitable because we too started from a seed, the seed of love.
As the seasons come and go, the connectivity of each to the next comes in, ever so gently. The dark clouds and gloomy days of winter give way to mesmerizing crystals of ice, so unique, no two are the same. Just as humans we hold our own uniqueness, the snowflakes that fall before our eyes hold our essence in them as well.
As the frozen sky and the sun begin to collide, the ever so calming raindrops start to fall, giving new life to each blade of grass that was buried under the glistening blanket of snow. The leaves on the trees begin their revival. The birds begin to sing a new song and nature begins its new cycle of growth and transformation. Shedding the sharpness of the bitter cold, we begin to feel the warmth of the sunshine, a new glow abounds. We too are evolving, right along natures side.
I, along with my camera love to chase each magnificent sunset, each change in the weather and seasons. I’ve loved photography as far back as I can remember. I was always capturing the moments on my journey in life. As I stood outside looking at the beauty that Mother Nature has offered us, yet again, I seen this pure and beautiful petal fall. It landed in such a way that it was so simplistic and reminded me how wonderful it is to be alive and that although this petal itself was no longer growing, it had been part of the cycle of life. It had transformed, it was birthed and it had grown. Just as we, as humans do. We all have cycles in life. We are birthed. We grow. We transform over and over. We shed our cells, our skin, our hair, nothing ever stays the same. We are made so intricately perfect, just as nature intended. This precious and pure petal reminded me of the simple beauties in life that shouldn’t be, taken for granted.
The butterflies have weathered the storms. They have remained in their cocoons until it was safe to come out and enter the atmosphere and they are now ready to show us their radiance as they flutter by, showing their gleam and wings of an angel. Utter transformation.
The suns rays are now at their full glory. Showering us with streaks of gold. You not only see the light, you feel it, deeply. Cool mornings give way to bright and cheer filled days, bursting with sunshine. As it shines, it gives new life to the flowers, reviving them fully and as it glistens upon us, it reminds us of what we’d been missing for so long. The golden touch of summer, making us feel truly, alive.
As summer moves swiftly by, the days begin to shorten and you can feel the chill in the air. Mother Nature is now ready to show us just how brilliant she can be. The trees that were so full and lively, are ready to transform once again. Life is truly about growth. All living things grow. Evolution is inevitable. It’s the beauty of life and living. To see, to feel, to live and to grow.
Autumn to me is the calm before the storm. It’s like an illuminating hug to keep us warm as the seasons change. The sheer magnitude of the beauty is priceless. As the leaves change from jade to citrine, the rustling sounds of the wind carrying the ember lit, blazing, fragments of nature before our eyes and if we are lucky enough, we can feel its luminosity as well.
Looking forward to the smell of hot cider. Pumpkin picking and Jack O’ Lanterns. The cozy days spent all wrapped up with no where to be, looking outside our windows to see all of the beauty that’s surrounds us all, not just today but always.
It’s all intertwined. Nature is our true essence, from stars to stardust. When looking at the tree of life, it should remind us that we too, start as seeds. We are watered and grow, just as the tree. We form branches to shelter others from the storm. Even though trees all start out the same, their roots, their shape and their height will differ from the tree beside of them. Completely unique.
Just as the tree, we are here to shade others during the drought, offering a safe place to land. We each hold our own beauty, our own brilliance, our own warmth. The tree offers oxygen, extremely intricate in detail, essential to life and to the living. Nature is an offering that sustains it’s life as well as our own.
A simple life, simply put, is seeing the simplistic beauty in the simplest of moments and things and basking in this phenomenal thing called life.
