Into the Wild
Our cameras have four main shooting modes: Program, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority and Manual. But the question that most students I mentor always ask is which priority should I shoot in, especially if it's like an eagle that's soaring above tree tops?

Is Auto-Exposure Good?. Top Story - October 2019.
That is quite a bold statement to make. Especially with the capabilities of RAW files. However, for the moment I am going to ignore RAW files (I will speak about them later on in this article). We all know of photographers from years gone by who didn't have auto exposure and took phenomenal images on film. To name a few: Fan Ho, Don McCullin, Ira Block, Annie Leibovitz, and Steve McCurry. They are in no particular order, but they all started shooting without digital cameras, and without auto-exposure. All their most distinctive shots have been taken without auto-exposure and on film.

Introduction - @Just.in_frame

I would like to provide a space where I can encourage or inspire anyone that is looking for a creative outlet to consider photography. I'm self taught, and have progressed in what I feel are leaps and bounds since starting out. I would love to give back to a community that has been so welcoming by helping others.

My New Little Polaroid Camera
So, I don't know if you remember the original Polaroid camera from back in the day? (See below). I was excited when I found they had brought it back and made it cuter than ever! As you can see from the original, it wasn't that exciting to look at, but it was an exciting new technology (for that time), whereas you could take a picture and have it appear right away, and after about a minute, it developed on its own and you were able to have your pictures right away! But Polaroid went away and we didn't see it for years.

Portrait Photography—Tips for Better Portraits
The Best Camera for Portrait Photography The most frequently asked question from beginners is: Which camera should I buy? The answer: It depends on what you want to use the portraits for. For professional portrait photography, as seen in glossy magazines, you need a high quality camera, such as the Sony Alpha 7iii. If you only want the portrait pictures to end up in your family album, a smaller model like the Canon PowerShot SX740 will do. If you want to shoot portraits from extremely unusual perspectives and collect a lot of followers on Instagram and Facebook, a smartphone with a Selfie Stick can be the best choice.
