BOBCAT KITTEN BAE BAE

Hi VOCAL members and listeners, my name is Marlon and I reside in citrus heights ,ca.I've always wanted to get into photography but I just couldn't afford any equipment like cameras and such so I take alot of photos with my phone,hoping to get some good quality photos. (To much success) I have been able to capture some pretty amazing shots of flowers and pets.

A few years ago my elder neighbor and friend, asked me to give him a ride to see some old friends of his in Lincoln California in his van. My neighbor liked to drink a little and was worried about being arrested for driving under the influence so he asked if I could drive. I Thought it was considerate and responsible of him as not to put himself or anyone else at harm for that matter by driving wreckless and irresponsible. Of course I would drive him whenever he needed when I wasn't busy to drive for him.

That day we went to see a buddy of his he has known since they were children in gradeschool.To my neighbor lol I'm still a baby (at 35) these guys were in thier 60's.We pulled up to the property ,hopped out and I greeted the family .My neighbor/friend was talking with his buddy and they went to the back where there were old cars he wanted to show my neighbor friend. I stayed respectfully in the front and struck up a conversation with the wife of my neighbor/friend's buddy.We talked about kids as she had two boys and a girl and I had a son around her sons age.

As we are talking and sharing laughs,I see what looked two squabbling bunnies zip past my feet.I quickly make out what I thought were kittens but they had bobbed tails and thier hind legs were unusually shaped.My nieghbor/friend's wife begin to tell me that these were two bobcat cubs that have gotten lost from thier mother and stumbled on thier property some weeks ago.Where they live is a rural area where you can see alot of different wildlife species such as red tail hawks,deer,rabbits,geese etc..

The Grey bobcat cub with black markings was a boy and the cream colored bobcat with brown markings was a girl.They were both super cute and had personalities of like playful domesticated house kittens.My neighbor/friend's wife told me that they are always present when the cubs play on the property because red tailed hawks have been known to swoop up cubs that small possibly mistaking them for small more desired rodent type creatures .

The picture you see of the cream colored/brown marked Bob kitten, is when I had the perfect opportunity to get a snapshot because her brother stopped messing with her and was occupied playing with a leaf.I slowly got as close as I could to get a good quality picture while trying not to startle or disturb the cub laying on her side with her paw forward .She(the cream colored Bobbcat cub) was a little more charismatic and at ease than her brother who couldn't settle down lol he was always running spontaneously and pouncing on anything smaller than him that moved.

When VOCAL offered the challenge and opportunity, I immediately thought of this pic.It took some digging through my Google files but I found it ,ladies and gentlemen I present to you ........
