Beauty At The Grand Canyon
Natural wonder on a massive scale, awe-inspiring vistas, and a perfect view.

It's true what they say, that you can't understand and enjoy the scale of things through a picture alone. This axiom is not more evidently accurate than when faced with the true majesty of the Grand Canyon. There are so many things that leave even the stoniest of travelers slack jawed. From the top of the sheer cliffs looking down at the comparatively miniscule Colorado River, to hiking into the landscape and peering at the tourists above. Magnificent aspects, like the fauna, such as the elk that pepper the sides of the canyon forests with a simple thought, to get food and survive. Or the flora, like the bushes that are impossible to tell the size of due to the proportion skew of the canyon. Even to the geologic formations that make the canyon iconic. There is something so fantastic about this canyon and something so interesting about everything in it.

From the top of the Grand Canyon the Colorado River looks small, like a stream almost. But the history, millions and millions of years of it, is simply fascinating. Today, the river is credited with carving the canyon as it looked for the path of least resistance. Even now, each year the rock is broken down a few inches, deepening the canyon further. The small look of the river, however, is deceiving. In truth, get to the bottom and the river rages, a true force of nature. Challenged by only the bravest of people, or the dumbest, who take the river by the ears and fight it. For the thrill. The thrill of riding the Colorado. You can't help but but notice how there is little else that compares to the roaring Colorado and the magnificent canyon it forged.

Warm light pours over the deep rivets of the canyon. Falling like gold onto the beautiful rock formations. Sunset is something else in the canyon, you watch as the blazing sphere disappears under the dark horizon. The brisk night's cold creeps in slowly. Replacing the view with darkness, utter darkness interrupted occasionally by the light of the headlamps donned by late night hikers. Light bird chirps, quiet cricket sounds, and the rustle of leaves in the wind. The light that kept the dark away recedes as the ever peaceful night settles on the canyon.

Rock formations in the canyon have always been interesting. The infinite complexity of how the water flowed and formed odd structures overtime. In the image you can see the odd divot in the rock wall with oddly straight sides. This is the wonder of this physical feature is partly due to all of ways to imagine. Hours upon hours can be spent, staring at the canyon, contemplating the infinite ways this feature could be formed. It turns you into a child again, letting your mind wander over and under the arches and cliffs of the Grand Canyon. A truly endless adventure of the mind.

To conclude, if its possible to conclude on such a enthralling landmark, you need to visit this canyon. There is so much for the Grand Canyon to offer anyone, young or old, optimistic or cynical. It truly allows the everyday person to realize the vastness of life and the small scale you live it on. History of the native people still shrouded in mystery keeps travelers captivated to the end of the day. Infinite vantage points for tourists to gaze upon the rock formations in all different perspectives. To experience this is to experience wonder, wonder and joy, by the infinite possibilities that lie within. Don't wait to see this landscape that will inspire you to unspeakable levels.
