Regular immunization of pets is the key to prevention.

A netizen posted online that her mother was bitten by her pet dog, which had been vaccinated, and her mother was worried and wanted to go to the hospital for rabies vaccination, but the doctor did not recommend her mother to get rabies vaccination. Why is that?

We know, was bitten by pet had better be to hit rabies vaccine, but a premise is, human body human body is infected rabies, must be carried by already confirmed rabies virus or come on after the animal is bitten, ability is infected to the person.

However, the user said it was a pet of his family and had been immunized, because the user's mother did not have a rabies attack, so we may really be immunized and did not carry the rabies virus.

So doctors are right not to recommend rabies vaccination. In fact, if bitten by a dog, the first judgment is not to hit rabies vaccine, but to the dog's blood extraction assay, judge whether the dog has rabies virus to carry. If it is confirmed that there is a rabies virus, then you call for treatment of the rabies virus, rather than a vaccine can solve the problem.

There are thousands of pet service providers and pet owners in the United States, who have much greater exposure to animals than the general population, and who suffer from these bites and scratches, but as far as I know there are very few deaths from rabies among service providers and pet owners in the pet industry. So getting your pet vaccinated regularly is the key to prevention. Do you think so?
