How many lambies does your dog have?

If you're a dog owner, you've probably noticed your furry friend being particularly attached to a soft, plush lamb toy. If your dog doesn't have one, I'm sure you have friends with dogs that have one or scene dogs that have one on social media. These cuddly creatures have become some of the most beloved and frequently bought dog toys worldwide. I have completely fallen in awe of these lamb dog toys. But what makes the lamb toy so irresistible to dogs? And where did this trend start?

The Lambchop dog toy is made by a company called Multipet International. They are known for creating plush toys for pets, and the Lambchop toy is based on the famous children's television puppet character, Lamb Chop, originally created by Shari Lewis.

One of the primary reasons dogs gravitate towards lamb toys is their soft, plush texture. These toys provide a comforting and soothing sensation, much like a stuffed animal that humans use for emotional comfort. Lamb toys come with squeakers embedded inside them. The high-pitched sound produced when the dog bites down on the toy mimics the sounds of prey animals, activating a dog’s instinctual drive to chase and pounce. These plush toys are so popular, even little kids are obsessed with the Lamb toys and steal them from the dogs. You can have a house filled with Lamb toys for both your kids and your animals. Sharing could be a little unhygienic so I'd keep these toys separate :) but it could lead to the cutest photos.

The actual reason dogs are so obsessed is UNKNOWN. If you google asking why they're so popular, it just mentions how soft and plush they are but there are so many toys made this way so what's so great about the lamb chop toy? If I had to guess, I'd say it's simply because of the cute face. I think it reminds them of a child, close to a real baby animal along with the softness they feel they can handle the lambchop really well and squeeze it and carry it everywhere with them. Well I don't think we'll ever know why they're so popular, only the dogs can tell us which unfortunately they can't. Maybe one day the dogs will evolve enough to let us know. I mean some dogs do speak to their owners in a way. I see videos all the time with dogs howling and possibly saying short words they're taught. Here's hoping dogs will start to say short thoughts in the near future!

I'm personally obsessed with how obsessed my dog is with all five to ten of her lambie babies. I keep adding to her collection and it's the first toy she grabs when its playtime. I have so much fun making cute content with my dog and all her lambchops for social media. I've seen social media posts with dogs with literal mountains of lambchop toys. I'm talking hundreds of lambchops which is so cute and I try not to let my dog see these videos lol. Lamb chops come in all different shapes, colors, sizes and for different seasons throughout the year with different designs and outfits. The designs they come up with become cuter and cuter. There's Holiday versions, Easter, Spring, Fall and they vary from large to medium to small, even keychains. There are also lamchop plush with ropes, durable lambchops, interactive lambchops, lambchop bones, lambchops with multiple squeakers and more.

Get your furbaby a lamb chop today. Petsmart has really cute ones!

Happy Lamb'ing with your FurBabies!! If you haven't gotten your dogs one, now is the time.
