Don’t get mad at them
Punishment doesn't work, so there's no point in losing your temper. Plus, it'll just make the behavior worse. Instead, practice consistency. Use the same action every time you want them to do something, whether it's sitting or fetching a toy. Be calm when you give directions to your pet—it can sense anger from a mile away and will respond by acting out more often because it thinks you're upset with them.

Don’t reward their jumping
Don’t reward the dog for jumping. Be aware that you might be rewarding the dog for being close to you, even if they are standing still. If you walk up to them with a treat or another reward, they may think that is the thing that made you come up close to them in the first place. In addition, don’t take their paws when they jump up on you and say No! No jumping! as this reinforces their belief that pawing at people = attention = happy times.

Keep your pet on a leash if you want them to stay off the furniture
One way to get your pet used to staying on the floor when in the house is by keeping them on a leash at all times. Keeping your pets on a leash will ensure that they never have the opportunity or possibility of jumping onto the furniture, because you'll always be holding on their leash.
When it comes time for it, make sure you give them plenty of time at first when letting go, preferably an entire day with them off the leash so they can feel more comfortable without one in every room.
Keep trying, it might take some time but it will be worth it.
Many people believe it is a lost cause once the dog starts jumping. This couldn’t be further from the truth. If you have found yourself with a pet that continually jumps on guests, be sure to train them well with this guide on what not to do:
1. Don’t ignore it when they jump on someone
2. Try stepping in front of them so they can’t get over you as a deterrent for when they start to jump next time. You can also try grabbing their attention with toys or treats before this happens so it can distract them from jumping up
Teach them how to sit instead
1. Touch their paws.
2. Lift their paws up towards you by touching the underside of their paw pads in the middle between the toes, with all four paws on the ground.
3. Playfully give them a toy or chewie, releasing your grip from their paw as you do so
4. Repeat steps 1-3 for each foot, then take a break for a minute or two
5. Repeat steps 1-4 again until they are comfortable with this
Give ton s of praise when they follow commands
This post is all about how to train a dog not to jump. The process starts with implementing the Down command as soon as the dog begins jumping on you. The one thing you have to remember when training a puppy is consistency, so be sure they do the same thing every time they misbehave. Consistency, patience and lots of treats are going to be what makes this happen. You will also want an area that is designated for puppies like a doggie bed or living room rug where they can go off leash, play and get plenty of exercise!
