Nature's funny animals

Many wildlife photographs offer a somber look at the outdoors. The animals are contemplative, thoughtful, and serious. That's not what you'll see here today. These hilarious and candid wildlife photos prove that animals can be just as stupid as humans when they think they're not being watched.

Wildlife Photography Bears

This photo was taken by one of the most decorated modern wildlife photographers, Roy Glitz - and it's just one of his amazing snapshots of animals in their natural habitat. Speaking about his love of photography, Glitz stops to say that the reason his photos are so compelling and personal is that he loves his work. He explains.

I love nature and wildlife. I always have. The thing I believe in life is to go where your strengths become the tools of your trade. I'm very good technically, but I'm not good at one-on-one interactions. So I'll never be as good at portrait photography as the amazing masters ...... but in wildlife photography - that's an area where I can stand out. When your passion meets your talent - that's where you want to be.

Dancing Bears

Bears are incredibly fascinating creatures. On the one hand, they're top predators that roam the forest and eat whatever they want, and on the other hand, they're fun and love little weirdos that like to dance with each other when they think they're alone.

I hid to see what they would do. The cubs were playing like children. They stood in a circle and started pushing and shoving each other, stomping their feet, as if they were dancing in a circle. They stood there for about half a minute, pushing and shoving. Then they started fighting and all of them were in a pile on the ground.

Smile at us.

Parrot fish found in the coral reefs and rocky shores of the Indo-Pacific Ocean are named for their bright colors and beak-like mouths. They don't smile as naturally as the fish in this photo, which makes it all the more interesting.

I don't know if it was the hook that caused it or the hard thing it was trying to bite. I focused on it and it took me a few minutes to get this frontal photo ...... Yes, it made me happy!
