My Ex Brought Home a Dog..

“I’m trying to keep it together, I’m sure he’ll be walking in the door any second... pacing back and forth I wag my tail and sniff around; Running towards the window I thought I heard keys...No, well I’ll just lay here on the sofa with my leash.”

I knew that I would be Home an Hour late.. my Boss wanted me to cover for my co-worker who was an Hour Late…

I came home and Discovered a pup shivering on the couch... Frightened little guy. I gave him a few pats until he calmed down and then I Saw the Red leash laying next to him... I asked if he yearned for a walk through the neighborhood. I guess he said yes because his tail began to waggle, and the sound of his hoarsed bark was encouraged. I settled my work sack on the Table and we headed out the door...

I did not think that I would be gifted a puppy 🐶 I said out loud as we stopped by the Traffic lights, but I was wondering if you could help me with a Name I looked down at the Dog while he frisked his head on my leg in hopes of a good pat...

The park existed around 2 crossroads when we reached the destination I turned loose his leash, but he just sat there next to me...

“Go, boy run along!”

He didn't budge instead, he licked my leg and placed his head up for another pat...

I squatted in the grass and he hopped up on my lap he gave me 12 kisses on the face before I could say anything else. We chased each other and gathered ourselves for the journey back home!

I told him about the neighborhood and about the Grumpy Dog next door is named(Jorge).

Jorge was an American Bull Dog and he wasn't friendly, I told him that he would be a lot smaller than the other Dogs because he was a Jack Russell, and he growled and I Assume that made him a bit angry!

In The Living, Room We played a Game where I would lay down a lot of Letters and he would lean towards the Letter and we would put them together and see what they spelled out.. After 30 mins with all the letters he selected, we spelled BENNIE 🐶

A month Later I was home washing Dishes, Just me and Bennie after seeing me Cry so much from the detachment of my ex, Bennie would sleep with me, and we had morning strolls, he would push the remote To me or bring the remote wherever I was stationed inside the bungalow... This little fella loved to sit around and we would watch Americans' Funniest Home videos... Bennie would lick my leg and Jump around the Couch whenever I'd laugh really good.

One day I came home from labor, and he was in the backyard again arguing with Jorge... I didn't know if Jorge would Assail so I did my best to Keep Bennie away...

I had a Doggy door Built on the side of the House from inside his Room where he could go outside into the Back Yard when I wasn't home, Bennie Loved the swimming Pool he would tease Jorge as he Jumped in and out of the pool and Ran past the Gateway It was obvious...

Bennie had become friends with the other Dogs in the neighborhood occasionally I would Dog sit, and He would help me keep everyone in order although some were bigger Bennie was Bossy, but also friendly.

“Hi I am, Lisa a Golden retriever my owners are Lesbians, and although they love me, they are thinking of adoption!”

I turned to Lisa and asked her “have you heard them talking about not having you around?”
“No Bennie, but I have heard them say that (our lives are about to be so much Better)

Tom Tom the Pug chanted “maybe they are fixing to adopt a Human Baby, Steve and Sarah got a new baby and I love the kid!”

Jorge didn't like the other Dogs but being next door to Bennie for some months he started to like him...

Jorge asked, “ what happened to the guy your owner use to run around the world with? Haven't seen him in a while”.

Bennie stepped closer to the Gate and spoke to Jorge “ I got rid of him months ago and I am trying to get Mike fixed up with the guy at the auto shop he really has a thing for Dogs and I actually like the way he makes Mike Smile whenever we pass by for our Afternoon walk”...
Lisa asked, “Didn't the other guy bring you here?”
Bennie stepped back inside the water and splashed Tom Tom before answering Lisa.
“Yes, he Brought me here to be with mike, I love Mike better than he accomplished, and I brought his phone out of the room to mike, and that stirred up a lot of commotion between the two of them, he was fooling around on Mike, and I finally put an end to the Sneaky Madness...”

All of the dogs looked at Bennie astonished.

Jorge let out “ yeah I've seen him messing around a few times climbing out of cars in the back of the place.”

Bennie declared openly “ I hated the dude, He would hide his shoes from me like he didn't want me to sniff around at em...”

They all chuckled!

I was surprised to come back to the House from the mart and see the Dogs in a hoop like they were having a conversation.

I just asked if anyone was ready to eat and they all came rushing inside the house like kids during Dinner Time!
