Meet Marley-Bob! Named after the legendary singer Bob Marley (and a previous dog owned by his humans called "BobMarley"), Marley-Bob is a double merle Australian Shepherd who brings an incredible amount of chaos and fun into the lives of Riah Turnage and her sister, Dara. At just two years old, this pup is pure energy wrapped in fluff. Don’t let his cute looks deceive you—those stunning ocean-blue eyes and adorable pink nose hide a mischievous little devil always up for some trouble.

Marley’s most eye-catching feature is the black spot that sits over his eye, giving him a standout look. His coat is a fun mix of brown and black spots, and like most Australian Shepherds, he sports a little nub for a tail. For those who don’t know, a "nub tail" is essentially a tiny bump where a regular tail would be. As if that weren’t wild enough, Marley is deaf! Yep, it’s crazy that he has big floppy ears and can’t hear a thing. Despite this tiny setback, he finds his way around and behaves fairly well.

One of Marley’s all-time favorite thing to do is sleeping. Seriously, this dog can sleep for hours on end without a care in the world. If you let him, he will snuggle up on your bed right beside you, completely content to steal your pillow while he’s at it! There’s really nothing like waking up to a warm puppy cuddled up against you, even if he’s hogging the pillow. Marley takes his beauty sleep seriously, and he believes that napping is an art form. Whether it’s curled up on the couch or sprawled out on the floor, he finds the best sun spots in the house and claims them as his own cozy hangout.

But when he’s not napping or lounging around, Marley loves to get active. Chasing the ball is a close second of his favorite things he likes to do, and when you throw it, his excitement is absolutely contagious. He bolts after the ball, letting his legs take him at maximum speed. And surprisingly, he doesn’t just chase it; he's kind enough to actually bring it back to you! It’s a game that never gets old for him. It’s nothing short of adorable to see him run back, proud as can be, with the ball clutched tightly in his mouth.

Despite being deaf, Marley is a very smart dog. He may not hear the commands, but he understands them through sight and intuition. He’s got a few awesome tricks up his sleeve, too! For starters, Marley knows how to sit and lay down on command. Watching him respond to these cues is impressive—he’ll immediately get into position, proud of himself for doing it right. And he has another cool talent: he can catch food when it’s thrown into the air! You can imagine how excited he gets when someone tosses treats his way. His eyes light up, and he focuses intensely, ready to show off his catching skills.

Constant Itching: Marley has turned scratching into an art form. This ordinary activity has morphed into a full-time job for him, as he scratches virtually every chance he gets. It’s a sight to see him contorted into crazy positions just to scratch that one spot!

Stealing Your Food: Here’s an essential tip: NEVER leave food lying around if Marley is nearby, especially pizza! He’s like a ninja when it comes to snatching your snacks without you noticing, and he has no hesitation when it comes to diving into your leftovers. His sneaky antics are both hilarious and a bit exasperating at times!

Even though Marley can be a bit of a menace, there’s no denying he’s also a goofy little sweetheart. He’ll never turn down an opportunity for cuddles and will try his hardest to get you to give him attention. His big, starstruck gaze will make it you fall in love at first glance, and he has a funny habit of sniffing your face while you sleep. It’s like he’s checking if you’re still there!
