Injured dolphin rescued by male crew

3 years later for the crew in distress to sacrifice their lives to steer the ship

Dolphins are affectionate and caring animals.

They are beautiful, intelligent, and wise in the water. In a study conducted by the University of Chicago, it was found that dolphins have one of the strongest memories outside of humans. Moreover, they can use sound waves, communicate in complex ways, and can even remember the sound of each dolphin.

Another person who has a deep understanding of dolphins' heavy-handedness is Fat Starfish, who has been a crew member for 27 years and is now the first officer of a cruise ship at the age of 50. He was interviewed by Cat Talk and told a story of his relationship with dolphins under the pseudonym Fat Starfish.

Dolphins have deep feelings and are friendly to humans

The first time he went to sea and saved the dolphin

The first time Fat Starfish went to sea was on a cargo ship bound for South America.

During the adjustment rest on a small island, Fat Starfish and some crew members found a dolphin on the shore. The dolphin was still alive, but its tail was damaged. The fat starfish could not tell if it was bitten by a fish in the sea or injured by human marine debris.

The fat starfish said that he had just become a crew member and his own master had told him that there were several kinds of aquatic species that could not be killed by people fighting for their lives at sea: turtles, whales, and dolphins. Master told him that these aquatic species are very aura, kill these kinds of fish is not auspicious.

It was because of this thought that the fat starfish saved the dolphin with the help of the doctor on board. They treated the dolphin's wounds and most importantly returned this dolphin, which was stuck on the coast, to the sea. To help this dolphin, during the two days of rest, the fat starfish would take fresh small fish to the sea to feed this dolphin.

The dolphin had a strong recovery and by the time the fat starfish's boat finished adjusting and set off again, the dolphin could already swim and hunt as well as when it was healthy.

Dolphins have a strong memory

Three years later, the dolphin piloted the ship and saved the crew when it encountered a storm

After this voyage, every time the fat starfish's boat arrived near the island, this dolphin would come over and would catch some fish in the sea and give it to the crew.

This made the fat starfish very surprised, but the old crew on board told him that it was actually a common thing for dolphins to catch fish for human beings on the sea, and dolphins are affectionate animals, and dolphins will help you even if you are good to them.

After three years of training, the fat starfish was successfully promoted, and it was sent to another ship as a third mate booster. But when he was excited to start a new voyage, he encountered one of the biggest crises in the profession.

Just as he was about to reach the island where he could rest, there was a sudden storm. The sea often has some unexpected bad weather, but this time the strength of the storm is very strong, the fat starfish said this is the first time he felt the power and terror of the sea.

Because the preliminary work is not done, in the storm, the ship's equipment was surprisingly problematic, and can not use the equipment for accurate positioning. Because the storm came suddenly, the young navigator on board was also unable to make accurate judgments because of nervousness.

Just when everyone was panicking, a group of dolphins suddenly appeared in the wind and waves.

This pair of dolphins swam hard in the stormy sea. The fat starfish recognized the leading dolphin among them, which was his old friend. After observation, the people on board found that the pair of dolphins seemed to be trying to pilot the ship.

The experienced old crew members immediately let everyone follow the route guided by the dolphins. The wind and waves were very strong and the dolphins swam very hard on the surface area, but they still insisted on not giving up to pilot the boat.

Before reaching the island, there was a small reef area that was very dangerous. Fat Starfish saw with his own eyes that several dolphins were affected by the wind and waves and hit the reef in the sea. But the dolphins still didn't give up, and they very wisely chose a route that was optimal for the boat.

After stumbling, the boat finally reached the island. The fat starfish remembered that the dolphin, who was very familiar with himself at that time, looked exhausted and even had some trauma from being touched by the rocks.

Dolphins can lay down their lives to help people they care for

The fat starfish never saw this dolphin again after that, and he thought that maybe this dolphin met with a bad result after that storm pilot. He had heard from the fisherman that a dolphin could die of suffocation due to exhaustion.

Although he never saw the dolphin again, the fat starfish had a greater love for the animals of the sea. It was this experience that made him further realize that animals also have emotional thoughts and that humans should respect and protect them.

More than twenty years later, the fat starfish has been on the verge of the end of the crew's career. He deliberately went to that island to live for more than a month, but still had not seen the dolphin that he had saved him when he was young.

Maybe this is nature, people treat nature well, and nature will also be friendly to people.
