I very much miss my kittens Sprinkles and Leo. My parents have told me that they’re confused and they miss me since I’m away at college. I miss them so much. I constantly imagine what they’re up to. Whether it’s crawling on the coffee table, taking a nap on the couch or running around the place like they just had an extra large latte.
I brought a stuffed kitten and I squeeze him and I ask "Who’s a cute kitty? Who’s a cute kitty?” like I do to my other two kitties.
Before we got them my dad told me that you want a kitty who’s attached to you and it’s safe to say that my kitties are very much attached to me. Especially Sprinkles. He would always climb into my bed whenever I’d go to sleep.
Before my classes, I would grab my kitties so they'd be there for me. During my video chats they would be crawling all over me. During Shakespeare and Film, my professor established that my kitties are little tigers. I actually made a meme of that. Classic different size same attitude.
Whenever I’m feeling low or irritable, I make sure to pet my kitties. It definitely helps me relax.
Before I came back to campus, I made certain that I would say goodbye to them. I had a very long goodbye and I made sure to take lots of pictures of them. I can’t stop telling them how much I love them.
I also meow at them. One joke I have with my dad is I hold up a kitty to him and meow and he meows back.
Whenever I would wake up the first thing I’d do is play with my kitties. I have an upcoming orthodontist appointment so I get to see them again. I’ve been asking my dad how the kitties have been each day.
I have lots of instances when I was playing video games and one of my kitties would climb onto me.
They always make me happy. My sister's kids came recently and they all loved the kitties. My second oldest niece loved them the most. Every time she saw them it was like she was seeing them for the first time. She was mad that Leo was taking a nap since she wanted to play with him.
A friend of mine has kitties and I can now relate to her since I have two of them. I’ve sent her photos and I’ve told her things that the kitties have done. When I first met her she told me she had a kitty. One time she told me everybody knew something and just to see her reaction I asked her “Does your CAT know?”. She says “No. He’s just a little kitty cat!”. There was another time I told her that someone was at home, sick and she says “Oh I thought you were saying they were homesick because they miss their kitty!”. I told her that’s how she is since she loves her little kitty.
My brother has a dog and now we can relate since we both have pets. There are a lot of times where he tells me his dog does something and coincidentally the kitties do the same thing. Whenever we FaceTime, he shows me his dog and I show him my kitties. There was one time I interviewed my brother for my dialect diversity class and we started talking about cats and all the funny things they do. I told him “Kittens are strange creatures.” and he says “Kittens are cute.”
Recently my parents have been telling me that they miss me. They say that they’ve been needy and they’re following them around. I miss them just as much. My dad’s been playing a game with me where he sends me a photo of one of the kitties and he asks me which one it is.
Something I love about kitties in general is their short attention spans. Everything is new and entertaining to them.
During fencing club, before we started someone was showing the president photos of their kitty and she loved it so I showed her a photo of my kitties. She says “Babies!”.
One time in the campus comedy club, the president said his cat messed up his computer so I started showing everyone photos of my kitties. This other girl said that she also had a kitty named Sprinkles.
My dad sent me a video of him feeding the kitties and he asked them if they missed me.
Recently, I came home from College and I've been able to spend lots of time with them. I get to pet and cuddle with them. I often wake up to them in my bed wanting cuddles. I love watching them run around the house and yard.
I love my kitties.
