Everyone wants the best things for their pooches, but are we REALLY giving Fido the things they need?
Grooming
All dogs need a good bath eventually! For your short haired puppy, a bath is simply throwing them in the tub, lathering them in shampoo, rinse and dry, right? Not always.
Most owners focus on the dogs back when washing, but they forget the most important parts that cause the stench you're smelling... FEET and GENITALS!
The best way to wash Fido is to start with wetting the head and body. Wash the body and face as you normally would. Then grab a wash rag, yeah I said that. A wash rag. Put some soap on it and wash between Fido's toes and the pads of his feet. Go back over the genital areas with the rag as well and for a bonus, you can use the rag to wash the face again to be sure Fido's kisses smell better than they did!

Food
Feeding Fido shouldn't have to be rocket science. Just fill the dog bowl with dog food and be done... But do you REALLY know what you're giving your dog to eat?!
Most store brand foods contain fillers and unhealthy additives that Fido could do without. We have all heard the horror stories of store bought brands of dog food.
To be sure your pet is getting the BEST nutrition possible, head over to Pawtree and make Fido a pet profile for FREE! Pawtree will recommend the best products for Fido, and you can even personalize products you order! One of my dogs favorite products from them is their PawPairings, which is a seasoning for food packed with vitamins and nutrients from superfoods! Check it out!
Exercise
Exercise is important for ANY dog! Exercise helps stimulate brain activity as well using brain games.
Exercise can be as simple as playing fetch or for more experienced people could be sports. Pinterest has some amazing exercise tools you can implement into your daily routine!
Do what it takes to get your four legged couch potatoe to work up a sweat!
Overall Health
Fido needs to see a vet for check ups. No doubt about that. But when Fido isn't at the vet, how can you maintain a health pup?
Personally, I use therapeutic grade essential oil products with my dog daily. Whether I'm diffusing oils or giving them internally. Oils can be used for regular maintenance, pain, inflammation, stress, upset bellies, and more! Plus they can be used for YOU TOO! Who would have thought? Check out these products at Doterra.
On top of oils, I combine all things mentioned above. Regular grooming with blow dry and nail trims, healthy eating from PawTree and exercise daily.
