Your pet should be at eight weeks old at fully weaned and immunized against Rabies. Additionally, your pet should be small enough to fit into the carrier specifically made for pets. Additionally, the pet's carrier should not weigh more than 20 pounds.

These animals are not permitted to travel on Alaska Airlines flights:

Reptiles and amphibians (snakes or lizards, turtles/tortoises, etc.)

Birds (except domestic birds like ducks or chickens)

Alaska Airlines Pet Reservations

You can book the Alaska Airlines Pet Reservations on the internet. Your reservation will be confirmed by the airline once you check-in. The airline will allow one pet per passenger in the first class cabin, and 5 pets inside the cabin.

Two pets are allowed per passenger. They both should be able to comfortably fit within their carriers or in seats close to one another. It is your responsibility to inform the airline about the type of animal you're travelling with at the time you make your reservation.

You can take your pet aboard for flights with Alaska Airlines. Reservations should be made minimum 35 days in advance of departure. If you intend to travel with an animal you must make reservations at least three weeks ahead of time.
