1) Play Fetch with Them

One of the best ways you can get your dog to pay attention is by playing a game of fetch with them. If you are busy and don't have time to play, then simply toss a toy around for them to chase. This will get their minds off of whatever might be distracting them and make them focus on what matters most: you. However, if they become too focused on just that one thing (and not paying any attention to you) then distract them by telling them No! in an authoritative voice and making sure they know that it's not okay to ignore you. 2) Take Them On Walks

1. Take them on walks as often as possible. One of the best ways, and simplest things you can do, is to take your dog on a walk in their neighborhood or down at the local park.
