WHY YOU SHOULD GIVE UP

THE FIRE THAT CARRIES CHAMPIONS THROUGH THE DARK

By Kreative William 254Published 8 months ago 4 min read

There’s an urge that doesn’t discriminate. It whispers in the hearts of kings and crawls through the minds of beggars. Every champion has felt it. Every president has faced it. Every lion-hearted warrior, every winner, every soldier, every great name etched in the story of humanity has met that moment — when giving up seems easier than holding on. When the mountain feels too high, the valley too dark, and the strength… just not enough.

And yet they pressed on. Not because they had more than you. Not because they were better, faster, or smarter. But because they kept the faith.

Faith — not in religion alone, but in purpose, in the unseen, in the yet to come. The kind of faith that moves a person forward when everything around them screams “give up.” It’s a fire that doesn't burn to destroy but to forge. A faith that burns away doubt, fear, and fatigue — and what’s left behind is a soul that refuses to surrender.

You don’t need all the money. You don’t need the applause. You don’t need a perfect background or a flawless record. Your dream does not depend on popularity. It’s not tied to family support or a thousand friends cheering you on. You’ve got you — and that’s enough.

This is a message for the ones still trying. The ones hopping their way through hardship, limping through loss, crawling through chaos — but moving. You may be slower. You may not have the resources others have. You might have to take extra classes, read things twice, or fight self-doubt daily. But don't you quit.

Don’t you dare quit.

It may take you twice as long. You may cry while others laugh. You may stumble through paths others run on. But your pace does not determine your power. Your mistakes do not cancel your destiny. Your weakness does not erase your worth.

You do make a difference.

Even if the world doesn’t hand you a trophy. Even if the crowd doesn’t clap. Even if nobody says “thank you.” You matter. Your effort matters. Your presence is significant. There’s something in this world that would be missing — if you were not in it.

To the single mother juggling work and hope… you make a difference.

To the father working two jobs and praying in silence… you make a difference.

To the student doubting their mind, but still showing up… you make a difference.

To the dreamer with no support system, still daring to believe… you make a difference.

So keep pumping. Keep fighting. Keep rising. This is not about perfection — it’s about persistence.

You may have lost money.

You may have lost friends.

You may have lost time, courage, strength — and even faith itself for a moment.

But you’re still here. And that means there’s still hope.

Sometimes you don’t feel like waking up. You don’t feel like getting dressed. You don’t feel like brushing your teeth, or stepping outside, or even facing your own thoughts. The days are so dark, you want to disappear. Keep driving, keep walking, keep anything — just not stop.

But it passed.

It always passes.

And so long as it passes, and you're still standing — you’ve got a chance.

The dream is not dead. It’s dormant, waiting for your next breath of belief. So breathe. Breathe through the tears. Through the loss. Through the betrayal. Through the fear. Breathe and believe.

If you lose the job — keep the faith.

If you lose the house — keep the faith.

If you bury a child — keep the faith.

If you have to move back in with your parents — keep the faith.

If you fall — get back up and keep the faith.

Catch the bus, walk to work, sleep on floors, skip meals — but never, ever, abandon your belief that this storm is not your story’s end.

You may get sick. You may face kidney failure, heart trouble, mental exhaustion, spiritual doubt. Life will throw everything it has at you — but you are not what you’ve lost. You are not what’s broken. You are what refuses to die inside you.

You are fire.

The kind of fire that doesn’t flicker in the wind but rages in the storm. The kind of faith that isn’t shaken by circumstance but shines because of it.

There’s a reason you’re still alive. There’s a reason your heart still beats.

Don’t insult your existence by giving up on yourself.

Don’t bury your purpose under pain.

You don’t have to win awards. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t even have to feel strong every day.

You just have to keep. the. faith.Because if you keep the faith, you’ll keep moving.

And if you keep moving, you’ll keep growing.

And if you keep growing, you’ll get there.

Wherever "there" is — your dream, your healing, your legacy — it’s waiting on the other side of your perseverance.

You’re doing the best you can with what you’ve got. And for now — that’s more than enough.

Keep the faith.

You're not alone.

You're not forgotten.

You're not finished
