Watched a film and feel motivated?
Like you could take on the world

Do you ever watch a film, whether it be Disney, Marvel or Pixar and just feel like you want to do something? Well, you are not the only one.
Maybe it's the engineering in me, but whenever I watch Big Hero 6 or Meet the Robinsons, I always feel like I want to build something like a robot or a machine that can reproduce memories. You get that overwhelming rush of adrenaline, thoughts of possible projects running through your head.
You write them down and think of how you could start them, but the state of technology today is not what you want. For example, those who have seen any Iron Man film - yes that includes all the Avenger films - have thought about making their own JARVIS. I know I sure have, of course, it hasn't gone very far as I haven't started it, which would help.
Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty sure all of us tried to build a time machine when we were kids, yes it may have just been us hiding a cardboard box fighting aliens from the future or taking a stroll with dinosaurs.
It's not just the movies that actually include building machinery, or inspire us to "Keep moving forward". It's also the ones that make us feel like we need to do something new.
For example, Pocahontas, a brilliant film if you want my opinion, but since I've seen that film, all I want to do is run through a forest barefoot, or jump off a high rock into a lake. One of those I have done. Do I feel better because of it? Yes.
Or when you watched Narnia, you tried to walk through your wardrobe hoping that you find a mystical land of mythical creatures and animals that can talk.
Don't get me wrong, it's not just movies that inspire us, it is music, tv shows, and books too.
Have you ever played that one song in your playlist, which you haven't heard in a while, and felt like you could take on a thousand armies, or write that essay or even do that extra rep at the gym?
You listen to the words and feel like you connect to them on a subconscious level, whether it be sad, angry, or just plain happy. Of course who doesn't want to get up and start singing Happy by Pharell Williams and dance around the room.
I know what people are going to say "that is the point of music, especially motivational music". Of course, 'motivational' music will make you motivated, but what about the odd sad song, that makes you want to change your life around.
I know when it comes to books, people are going to say that Harry Potter is the most intriguing book and people are still waiting for their Hogwarts letter. I know I still am.
But when it comes to books, I read mostly books about magic for example The Skulduggery Pleasant Series by Derek Landy. When I picked up the first book when I was eight, I tried everything to believe that if I clicked my fingers I would produce a fireball, or try and felt the curves of the air and push myself over a small wall. That didn't turn out how I wanted to.
I guess in a way every source of media, film, music, books, hides little messages that depending on your mood at the current time, make you feel motivated to do something inspirational, or just try and be a kid who has an endless imagination and a cardboard box.
