So, the future is female……..who is a female?? What is your perspective about a woman?? Who is she?? Where is she?? How is she related to you?? What work does she do for you?? Why are we pestering a lot on women empowerment?? Why are we always so specific about female education and women being in position?? Why why why??

We have a lot of questions……

But do we have answers for that??

Maybe yes or maybe no……

Immediately what strikes your mind when you come across this topic "The Future is Female". Most of you must be thinking that women will rule men, women will be empowered in the future, the future paves way for women to rule the nation and so on. But the fact is that a silent revolution has taken place such that the scenario has changed from women development to women led development.

I hope most of you agree with this………

Being a young woman, I define woman as power, brave, independent. In the mid 60's, 70's and even now in our cinemas woman are mostly portrayed as dependent, weak, who is unable to take care of her own needs, dependent on her father, husband and then her sons. The most watched or the most expected scene in a movie is the hero rescuing heroine from a danger as if the heroine is not capable of protecting herself.

But the reality is quite opposite.

Women have the innate abilities of multi-tasking, planning, organising, handling the house, protecting herself and much more. Scientifically, women are mentally much more stable than their male counterparts. But why do these women make up only around 5%, just 5% in various fields of science and engineering related degrees?? It's not because girls don't want to enter these fields. It's not because of some genetic disadvantage either. Its entirely because of the societal limits and restrictions imposed.

Being a woman is not so easy!!

It is frequently said that a woman should think like a man, act like a lady, look like a young girl and work like a horse. But why?? I have a question to ask the society, "When are we going to allow women to think like a woman, act and look like a woman and finally work like a woman??". A man is never forced to act or do things like a woman, but did you ever think why do we ask girls to pretend like men?? A lot of questions are piled up in front of the society without answers. Right from the olden days, women are portrayed to be the answers for all the questions. But if we turn out to ask questions, no one has answers.

"In our world, a man is deemed confident but a woman, arrogant. A man is assertive, a woman is aggressive. A man is strategic, a woman is manipulative. A man is a leader, a woman is controlling. A man is authoritative, a woman is annoying. The characteristic or behaviour is the same. But what makes the difference?? It is the so-called GENDER. And based on that, the world makes assumptions."

We are raising girls to be perfect and boys to be brave which is a bitter truth. Please teach women bravery and not perfection. Teach them how to face problems and not to run away from problems. Teach them to be strong not to be pretty. Teach them how to approach challenges and not to avoid challenges. Risks and adventures are not men owned property. It's girls cup of tea too!!

Oprah Winfrey says, Whatever you fear the most has no power, it's your fear that has power!!

This article of mine is completely to prove that women are more than mothers. Women are more than wives. Women are more than sisters, and we women are much capable as men are. We are capable in these traditionally masculine fields. No matter what those fields may be. The word impossible too says I'm possible……..right???

Moreover, just before concluding, the theme of this story is Future and the Future is Female!!

HAPPY WOMEN'S DAY!!

Have a great day friends!!

Thank you!!
