The difficulty of starting a Business

Volume I. A real story.

Serra da Leba, Angola(i got this from internet)

Actually, where can I start? From earlier age, I always thought of making money, creating a business, and a few types of things, although I have not talked to anyone about it or at least didn't get the approach from someone who could feel what I'm talking about, which I had luck to find later on. Although I think it is the poor countries that have a high level of entrepreneurs, the difficulty is one of the reasons, of course. But this was not my case, being from a place that has a high social inequality, I could say that I was in a good place, at least enough to not think of basic needs. I feel that every single Angolan is an entrepreneur, for some reason, I doubt that someone would say the opposite. One of the first issues is of course, the MONEY, which is hard to get money, investment, and so on. But after some while I can be sincere and say that some of us could start more earlier, I know is not easy but after some time you noticed that one of the most important thing is TO START, not just think, do not give up, start and keeping pushin, 2025 is the year Im pushing with all my strengths and Im not thinking about give up and I could say a lot of things that Ive being dealing with but choose to see the problem the size I choose, even after trying to invest with own money, working so hard in 2 jobs for around 2 years, to get credits, to make different hustles/side work idk how to call it, I notice that whatever will happen I'm just mental prepared to worst, to the best. So, this is for you who are facing struggles along the way. Be aware of social media, a lot of people are just trying to sell something. Be smart, keep doing what you think is right. I'm just saying that because I had some regrets about not starting before, but I feel so comfortable in that situation that is not yet the one I'm going to achieve, which I think is going to be amazing.

My journey has not ended yet, actually, just the beginning of my route. I'm one of the guys who always has a lot of ideas, but most of them are not executed. Now, I fail, yes, this is the truth, I fail, I felt bed, I made sacrifices to make it happened but goes wrong as expected, even with a lot of plans and sometimes taking risks as it should be. It's ok, that's how the thing is.

So, the question is: Is it hard to start a business? No, it's not to start, Its to maintain. Today, unfortunately, I have been forced to close our shop(mine and my wife's). This is a bakery that never got launched. We have been running a business, which is in the Nursery Rhymes field, but we decided to take a short break to launch a new one. My wife dreams, but we havent check all possibilities, or we have. But everything got wrong, we should give back the place we rented, we have paid for this space more than 5 months, we paid for make somes works on the site, well, was not enough to start running the business, we need to stop since we didnt have the money to buy material, equipment for the space and pay the debt in the goverment for the company we have now. Is terrible to see my wife trying to be strong while we were unable to run this business, but at the same time is beautiful to see how strong she is and the way she put her arms around my shoulders and told me baby we are going to make it, next time, for sure. The truth is, although it is a bad moment we are facing right now(12.01.2026) is a moment that means a lot to me, is when tomorrow we have gain more experience in this field/game, that we have pass this phase we will look back and say YAH that was just a moment and most important was how we deal with that. We still have months of debt we should pay for taxes, the rent, and so on.

Next step, we are doing right now is moving on with our first business idea, Bebekeni, KidsSpeak, and so on. We have been putting on PAUZA for some while. With those, we got fewer issues, as we can operate remotely, and in case of any financial issues, we just need to take a break, and we won't have any financial collapse, hahah, that's what we expected.

If you have read till here, I hope this has boosted your strength. All the best in your business.
