The Ant.
No is too small to achieve something great. Even the tiniest among us can make a big difference with determination, courage and a never give up attitude.

How a tiny creature showed the power of determination
In a quiet corner of the forest, under the shade of tall trees and the rustling of green leaves, there lived an ant named Arlo. He was smaller than most of the other ants in his colony, and because of his size, everyone thought he was weak. But what Arlo lacked in strength, he made up for with his big heart and determination.
The colony of ants was huge. Thousands of ants worked every day to gather food, build tunnels, and protect the queen. Each ant had a role to play, and teamwork was the rule of life. Arlo, however, was often assigned to the easiest tasks — cleaning small tunnels or carrying crumbs much smaller than what others carried. He always dreamed of doing something great, something that would prove to everyone that even the smallest ant could make a big difference.
One sunny morning, the ants woke up to find their path to the berry field blocked by a fallen branch. This branch was enormous, heavy, and covered almost the entire trail. The berry field was the colony’s main source of food, and without it, the ants would soon run out of supplies. Panic spread through the colony. The soldier ants tried pushing the branch, but it wouldn’t budge. The workers tried digging a path under it, but the soil was too hard. Everyone started to lose hope.
Arlo stood at the back of the crowd, watching the bigger ants struggle. “If only I could help,” he whispered to himself. Then, an idea sparked in his mind. While everyone focused on moving the branch, Arlo thought, What if there’s another way around it?
Without telling anyone, Arlo scurried off to the edge of the path. He climbed up rocks, crawled through grass blades, and squeezed through tiny holes in the ground. He explored parts of the forest no ant had ever dared to go. The journey was tough — at one point, he almost got swept away by a trickle of water from a leaf, and at another, he narrowly avoided a hungry bird. But Arlo kept moving, step by tiny step.
After what felt like hours, he finally found it — a narrow passage that curved around the fallen branch and led back to the other side of the berry field. It was hidden behind a cluster of moss and roots, invisible from the main path. Arlo’s little eyes sparkled with excitement. He turned around and hurried back to the colony.
When he returned, everyone was still trying to move the branch. The air was heavy with exhaustion and disappointment. Arlo rushed to the front and shouted, “I found another way! Follow me!”
At first, no one listened. They were too busy with their own efforts. But Arlo didn’t give up. He climbed onto a small rock and yelled louder: “There’s another path! I’ve seen it with my own eyes! We can still reach the berry field!”
Finally, one of the older ants, a wise worker named Greta, stepped forward. “Show us, little one,” she said kindly.
Arlo led the way, his tiny legs moving as fast as they could. The other ants followed him through the twisting, turning path he had discovered. Some of them doubted at first, but as they emerged on the other side of the fallen branch and saw the berry field in front of them, cheers erupted. The colony was saved.
For the first time, Arlo didn’t feel small or weak. He felt proud. The queen herself came to thank him for his bravery and clever thinking. “You have shown us that size does not determine one’s worth,” she said warmly. “Even the smallest ant can carry the biggest dream.”
From that day on, Arlo was no longer given the smallest tasks. He became a pathfinder — an explorer who scouted new trails and led the way for the colony. Other ants began to look up to him, not because of his strength, but because of his courage and determination.
And so, the brave little ant who everyone thought was too small became a hero in his own way — proving to all that no matter how tiny you are, you can make a giant difference if you never give up.
