Executive and Entrepreneurs: Here is How to Use Silence to Your Advantage
While silence can be awkward, learning how to use it at the right moment can be powerful. Conventional wisdom tells us that if you make your voice heard, be it in a classroom, in a board meeting or at a networking event, you are going to get what you want. One of the quotes that tends to resonate with my thinking is: “the loudest in the room is the weakest in the room”. And what I have learned in over 25 years as an entrepreneur and as I senior advisor is that decision makers appreciate quiet leadership as they often associate that with mature judgment. My advice today is going to be how to use silence to your advantage both in your personal and professional life.

The Top 10 Reasons Why Working From Home is Awesome!
Ensure you’re staying productive with a workspace! It’s easy to get distracted when working from home, especially if you work from a room in your house where household activities tend to take place. To stay productive, you need a workspace that is designed to support your work activities and allows you to focus when needed. As a rule of thumb, you should try to create an area that is free of distractions so that you can stay focused on your work tasks. Most people find that it is helpful to have a well-lit and ergonomically-designed workspace. It’s also suggested that you choose a location that is relatively quiet, minimally decorated, and offers easy access to your computer, supplies, and other necessary items. There are also some other things that you can do in order to ensure that you remain productive while working from home. For example, you can make sure that your computer desktop is clean, organized, and uncluttered. You can also set up a to-do list or time-planner to help you stay on track with your work activities. Strategically placing visual reminders of your goals, dreams, and intentions can also be helpful for staying motivated and focused on your work.

What magic lay in the cookie!
The population of North America (Canada in this writer’s case) in the modern age is one that surprisingly believes in magic in the most traditional and ancient sense possible: witches placing hexes and removing curses upon families, people coming under the influence of demonic possessions, cleansing tools and grimoires that can be purchased online. Yet I think to myself now, what about the ancient ways of survival, where people knew seemingly forever how long to cook something to get the highest caloric intake, the different ways to cook things like eggs, and how to make so many amazing and differing varieties of cheeses from various different animals as examples - is that not magic to ponder and let the mind wander and wonder about?

Life As It Goes By...
Her brother asked, how it was doing so far as they were driving home from her workplace. He realises she is lying when she claims things are going well. He eventually stops the vehicles and turns to face her. He queries the situation. The girl sobs and tells him that two nights earlier, she had planned to commit suicide. He comforts her with a hug and tells her that things will get better. They resumed driving while playing some gospel music. They hear noises coming from the front while they are driving. He assures her that it is unimportant and that she should not worry.

Millions
Introduction Six or seven years ago a rabbit suggested I take up the “Million Step Challenge” for Diabetes UK which was to walk a million steps in three months. At the time they were suggesting getting sponsorship to raise money and at the time I had taken redundancy from EE but had a Samsung Note (which I thought was an excellent phone) to record my steps via Google Fit (which I still use today).
