Perfection
She stands at 5'5". She has a 26-inch waist. She's a brunette. Her eyes are blue, which compliment her fair skin and soft facial structure. She often makes you laugh, as she has a great sense of humor. She sounds pretty hot, right? According to some super scientific surveys I found on the internet (following) the ideal eye color, hair color, skin color, personality trait, and body type, the woman I just described is our society's perfect Franken-Chica (society's perfect man is over 6'0" with all the same ideal characteristics as a perfect woman, for those of you I left wondering).

Coffee Pot
The smell of coffee brewing in the morning is probably one of my top 5 favorite smells. Something about it is comforting. Coffee and oatmeal cookies is what you'd smell every morning on Catalina Island. You couldn't pass up walking into The Cookie Company once that smell hit you.

I Failed
Hello my little lovelies! So I wanted to make this post because I realized I never really talk or write about what happens when my cravings override my willpower and it's not your cheat day. It's not often but it does happen. I feel like if I'm going to share my journey to being healthy and fit with you guys I have to be honest with my struggles too. I don't want to post about just the successes because I don't want people who are also trying to be healthy think that it's going to be a piece of cake. It's honestly not a piece of cake.

The Only Thing Standing in Your Way is YOU
I know what you're thinking, "It's not my fault," "I was too busy," "I can't afford to go to the gym," etc. etc. These are all things you tell yourself (and others) to try and escape the fact that the reason your health is the way it is, is YOUR fault. YOU chose to eat that tub of ice cream. YOU chose to lay in bed all day watching television.

Journalling: The Simplistic Power of Scribbling Your Troubles Away
For many years, I have struggled to materialise vague and mostly unrealistic New Years Resolutions I make year-to-year. Like many of you reading this, I have set unattainable, yet super common, yearly goals such as losing a ridiculous amount of weight for a self-confidence boost, or getting up every morning at 5AM to do yoga and meditation, and another previous one I am not proud to admit: finding someone so I don't have to have the painful annual Christmas talk with extended family who never fail to ask if I have found a partner or significant other yet (evidently Tinder proved ineffective over the years).

A Wave at a Time
Have you ever stared out into the sea for what seems like hours, yet the only thing that we focus on is how big it really is. I mean, really big, never ending. We stand there flabbergasted at the fact that this massive body of water, containing millions of life forms underneath the surface where nobody can even see, just goes on forever. We try so hard to see farther than our eyes are letting us, why can’t our minds do the same? We can sit for hours and think about the endless dreams and goals we want to achieve, but the truth is, it ends with us.

Introduce Yourself
What does it mean to be whole-heartedly ourselves? You can say that you have "found yourself," or that you are "uniquely your own," but how do we know what that even is? Everything we’ve absorbed and maintained has been things that we’ve seen, that we’ve heard, that we’ve accepted as ours.

The Numbers of Life
We all do it; the whole of society measures their lives by numbers. The numbers on the scales. The number of people we have sex with. The number of online friends (or enemies) we have. The number that reads on our bank balance. We are all told these numbers matter. We are told if our numbers aren't good enough then we should be ashamed of ourselves, our self worth is worthless.
